What is Dyslexia?
Dyslexia is a common learning difficulty that can affect how a person reads and processes written language. Children with dyslexia may struggle with reading fluency, recognising words, spelling, and understanding written text. They might also experience difficulties with coordination, organisation and memory.
It’s important to note that dyslexia is not related to intelligence. Children with dyslexia often have strengths in other areas, including, problem-solving, reasoning, critical thinking and creativity. Dyslexia can only be diagnosed by a certified assessor.
